I’ve been listening to a lot of podcasts over the last week or so, mainly as research but also because I enjoy listening to them. Just a quick rundown here with links at the bottom. Enjoy.
There is one I have been listening to for over a year, World of Warcast. It’s a fantastic podcast for WoW players that want to keep up with the latest developments and news from Blizzard but also want to get right down to the nitty gritty of the game and its classes. The research done by Renata (@renatawc) is incredibly in depth and I wonder where she finds the time! Co-host Starman (@starmike) provides a dry, thoughtful counterbalance. You should check it out.
One I have come across only recently (thanks to @Jiist) is The Instance. Hosted by Scott Johnson (@extralife) and RandyDeluxe (@RandyDeluxe), it is an informative, humorous and entertaining listen. It is as close to the bone as you can get in some places without crossing that line to needing an iTunes parental warning. Highly recommended for any level of WoW player.
And finally, because I stumbled across it listening to World of Warcast’s four year anniversary show, Scott Johnson’s other podcast, AppSlappy, co-hosted with Eric (@hawkito). If you have an iPhone and you want to be kept up to date on the latest apps available then this one is for you. Honest reviews of every kind of app. As an example, the last show I listened to reviewed Geocaching, I Dig It, AirPort Mania, Pocket God and What The Font – a pretty diverse list! At the same time though, many other apps get mentioned in passing, leading you to go check them out for yourself.
I’m going to create a new section for recommendations on InoperanteOnline in the near future for high podcasts, websites, apps and such. Feel free to email me your recommendations so I can check them out and add them: inoperante at inoperanteonline dot com
