Hehe yea i love my enchanted broom, brings me back memories of the dancing brooms in fantasia. The mounted combat takes a bit of time to get, but basically in a nutshell you attack, jump away turn around and throw the spear that knocks off a shield (the name of the attack eludes me at this time), then rinse and repeat i would save the charge until all three shields are down.

You can also do it hte long painful way thats not guaranteed to work all the time and thats just stick with the attacker dont let him gain any distance and just attack. But again its a very long and painful process.

It's getting to Champion level that I find a pain. I am just not that good at the mounted combat. I have the last fight to do and have only tried three times. The pets though - that is why I will no doubt finish it eventually!

The dailies arent bad once you get to champion level you basically can opt f/ almost double gold payout or horde faction rep. But yea unless your working f/ rep / gold / mount achievement its pretty pointless.

Although the pets are selling for almost 1k gold a pop on my server.

I did say it was a rant! It really isn't for me, but you're right on the subject of choice. If some people like it, that's great. I just find it...badly implemented I guess. There seems no point to it.

I like the dailies. I like the mounted combat. I know several other people who do. It's hard (impossible) to satisfy everyone who plays the game... and I'd rather it be there than have absolutely nothing there at all. Afterall, like you said there are plenty of other dailies to do. If you don't want to do the AT stuff, you don't have to. It's not a requirement, it's just another thing that people who want to can do. And I'm all for having more options for stuff people can choose to do.

But I can't really understand why you'd want them to take something out of the game just because -you- don't like it. I don't like Arenas, but I'm not saying they should be removed from the game. I just don't participate!

I agree wholeheartedly, yet...I'm still there. For my paladin, I did the quests until I earned enough marks to get a Silvermoon Tabard. Which is ridiculous that the AT is the only way my Blood Elf who is exalted with Silvermoon anyway, to get a tabard from her home town.

I'm doing them with my mage to get experience...24K xp for those easy quests feels like robbery. Once she hits 80 (tonight? tomorrow night?) I'll go back to doing dailies that award money and "real" faction rep.
