Google StreetMap gets video competition

yellowBird
Forget your scrolling round static images of streets a la Google StreetMap. Now you can pan around live action video in 360 degrees!
The new concept, developed by Dutch company yellowBird, really does allow 360 degree viewing around a live action video. Imagine taking a drive through downtown Manhattan, for example, able to view either side of the street – or even above you - from the comfort of your own home!
Not only that, you can pause the video and look all around from that point. This is true next generation recording and displaying technology.
It’s not the easiest thing to decribe in printed word, so take a look at this demo produced by yellowBird and shot at Dutch dance music festival Mystery Land.
