World Events & Achievements

So the Lunar Festival came to a close this month and we had the Love is in the Air event too.
For all those who got the Elder title, congratulations. I couldn’t be bothered with all that running around and dungeon running so I missed out on that one. However, I DID get the “Love Fool” title as I found the Valentine’s event a lot of fun. Slightly annoying that the pet wouldn’t drop for me despite me logging on every hour so I’ll have to repeat the process next year, but at least I added another title to my list.
I think the Achievement system has made the world events a lot more fun and got a lot more people involved, which is good. It’s certainly got me involved. I never used to bother before, just doing the easier start up quests for each and not bothering with the farming aspect. So well done Blizzard on this one.
What’s next then? A quick glance at the calendar and I see that next up we have Children’s Week at the start of May. This is one of the events I enjoyed without the Achievement system, so I’ll likely get stuck into this one. The Achievements are:
- Home Alone
- Bad Example
- Daily Chores
- Aw, isn’t it cute?
- School of Hard Knocks
- Once an orphan…
- Hail to the King, Baby
When we get closer to it I’ll run down the requirements for each, but I see in my list that I have already done “Aw, isn’t it cute?” – I obtained one of the pets last year.
Before then, however, there’s nothing, so I’ll be raiding every other week and I MIGHT try and win that damn fishing contest in Stranglethorn Vale.
